“Damascus Road is a listener supported program.”  If you listen to the program, you have heard me say that before.  Actually, I almost always end the program with that gentle reminder.  No one needs to tell you there is a price to be paid to tell the story of God’s love.  Damascus Road Ministries has no commercial sponsors, which means Damascus Road is our program, yours and mine. Each week when I say, “until next time, at the same time, this is Harry Sill for Damascus Road”, I know very well, without you, there will be no next time.

For fifteen years, you, our wonderful audience, has stood behind our program.  For fifteen years I have been receiving notes and letters thanking us, you and I, for helping so many find their way to God.  Many of you will understand when I share; God is prodding me to do more, to reach further, and to broadcast beyond our borders, in markets we have never reached before.   Now that’s not my decision to press forward, it’s our decision. It is absolutely true, we must decide together, if we are going to move forward together. For those of you who believe in prayer, I’m simply asking that you pray.  Ask God to give us His direction, and ask Him what part he would have each of us take in this outreach. 

For many of you, who read this open letter no doubt, think it’s strange.  How is it that reasonable people who have never met, connect together in prayer to seek God’s leading? To that question, please don’t think my answer curt. “It works.”  That’s the only answer I have. Actually, that’s the theme of our work, and our broadcast. Reach to God, and discover He is really there.  Yes, one has to be a bit courageous to speak his request to God, but in doing so, be prepared to be amazed for He does answer.
